We are thrilled to announce that we are the Official Beer of the 2016 BMW PGA Championship for the second year running.
Held at Wentworth from 26 – 29 May, the BMW PGA Championship is an unmissable tournament on the European Tour – with more than 100,000 people expected to attend. This is the second year running that we have sponsored this prestigious event, and the tournament is set to be a thriller – with defending champion Byeong Hun An of South Korea returning, alongside a world-class field showcasing many of the biggest names in golf. Masters winner Danny Willet will also enjoy a glorious homecoming when he makes his first appearance on UK soil since winning his first major championship.
Good Old Boy (4% ABV) and our new Renegade Brewery Craft Lager (4.5% ABV) will be widely available throughout the event. Attendees will be able to enjoy both beers in all course bars, the Championship Village, the Championship Pavilion, Moet Brasserie and the BMW Owners’ Lounge. The full range of our real ales and craft beers will be available in the Crafty Sausage Bar.
Jamie Birkmyre, European Tour Director said, “We are delighted to welcome back West Berkshire Brewery as the Official Beer supplier for the 2016 BMW PGA Championship. The beer went down a storm in 2015 and to have it available in all bars this year is fantastic”.
James Tomlinson, Sales Director at WBB, said: “It’s very exciting to return to the BMW PGA Championship this year. The event gives us a real opportunity to showcase the great range of locallybrewed, hand-crafted beers within the West Berkshire Brewery portfolio, and we’re thrilled to be able to build-on this partnership.”
