January is true midwinter with chilly weather and usually, a surprising amount of bright sun later in the month. Bulbs are beginning to spring up all over the shop and of course there are dazzling displays of snowdrops to be enjoyed. Look out for the odd honeybee, squirrels and the distant sound of drumming woodpeckers.  2020 marks our 25th birthday and we plan to celebrate throughout the year with new beer releases, parties and community events. We’ll be adding three new core beers to our range in February, look out for Detour 4.5% Pale Ale and Stoney Lane 4.9% Pilsner in February plus something with a little less alcohol for the designated driver in your group. We’re also bringing out a range of limited edition specials beginning with Golden Age 4.8% American Pale Ale with honey. All the specials have been created with a nod to our heritage and surroundings, with ingredients such as local honey, elderflower and blackberries all of which can be found a stones throw from the brewery. Get to know the story and people behind Golden Age here.
