There’s a lot of family friendly fun going on at the taproom this month including film, face painting and freakishly good food. Sound like the perfect excuse to head to the brewery and relax whilst the little ones are amused? We thought so too.

We’ve got our beastly brewery quiz for the adults with ghoulish grub and the usual beery prize, we’d recommend getting your ticket early as it tends to get busy, plus your £5 entry includes a WBB pint.

The Rugby World Cup has us on the edge of our seats and we’re showing as many matches as possible, on some days we’re also serving breakfast (you may have been wondering why the team are looking so well-fed…). Please click here for more info on the breakfast menu/match dates.

Dr Hexters Healer

So what's the story? Originally this was brewed for longstanding friend of the brewery Paul 'The Doctor' Hexter. Paul was one of our very first customers way back in the late 90's so when he asked to commission a strong bitter of course we said yes and Dr Hexter's Healer was born. Paul commissioned a few more brews after that including Wedding Ale (brewed for his wedding, naturally), Dr Hexter's Cure All and Dr Hexter's Reviver, remember them?! Paul is now landlord of the celebrated, multiple CAMRA award winning Royal Oak in Wantage. We can't wait to see Healer on the bar later this month. We've only brewed a limited amount of this beauty so get in there quick if you're stocking up for the coming months. Healer is an absolute belter of a strong ale with rich flavours of marmalade surrounded by toffee and citrus aromas. It's a full bodied, highly hopped, robust amber ale that'll knock your socks off.
